They are seeking a talented Town Planning Director to join our dynamic team and contribute to the continued success of their projects.
Job Description: As a Director of Town Planning you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our cities and towns. You will work on a variety of projects, collaborating with teams to ensure that developments are designed in accordance with local regulations, policies, and community needs. Your responsibilities will include:
·Conducting research and analysis of planning policies, legislation, and local development plans.
·Engaging with stakeholders, including local authorities, community groups, and clients, to gather input and address concerns.
·Providing expert advice on planning matters, offering solutions that balance social, economic, and environmental factors.
·Participating in public consultations and meetings to present proposals and gather feedback.
·Keeping up-to-date with emerging planning trends, regulations, and best practices.
Requirements:
·A bachelor's or master's degree in Town Planning or a related field.
·Membership in the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) or working towards membership.
·Proven experience in town planning, ideally within the UK context.
·Sound knowledge of planning legislation, policies, and procedures.
·Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to think critically and creatively.
·Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience in report writing and presenting.
·Proficiency in using planning software and other relevant tools.
·Ability to work effectively in a team, as well as independently.
·Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
