Carrington West's dedicated Town and Country Planning Recruitment Team operate UK wide and we are delighted to be assisting our client with their search for a Development Management Planning Officer to join a Local Authority client of ours in the South West of England on a 6 month contract.
 
The Role
Dealing with your own caseload of minor residential and commercial applications and contraventions. You will be able to hit the ground running and have an ability to write clear and accurate case reports and recommendations. 
 
Duties
·Dealing with own caseload of residential and commercial applications
·Dealing with informal enquiries
·Dealing with appeals
·Dealing with enforcement 

Expertise
The successful candidate will have Experience of Town Planning, ideally within a Local Authority, be a strong communicator with a great understanding of customer care, have an ability to work in a logical manner, have a driving licence and access to a car for site visits.
 
Qualifications
Due to the nature of the role the successful candidate will ideally have a degree in Town and Country Planning or relevant subject.
 
Carrington West Pay Rate - £20 to£25 per/hour
