Carrington West are working in partnership with Cambridge County Council assisting their search for a Development Management Officer on a permanent basis.
 
We have an exciting opportunity to join a local planning authority and be a part of a small but busy team delivering a range of planning applications associated with the county council's own development proposals for both new and existing schools.
 
As Development Management Consultant you will be expected to provide professional and technical advice on specialist and strategic regulations 3 planning applications working within the County Planning, Minerals, and Waste team. The successful candidate will need to build strong working relationships with internal and external consultees/agencies to ensure decisions can be made within the correct timescales.
 
You will need:
 
·4 years of planning development management experience
·Strong work ethic and qualified to MPTPI standards
·Be able to manage your own casework
·Excellent communication skills
·Strong background in report writing and presentations
