I am currently recruiting for a Designers Site Representative for a prestigious company working on HS2.
 
As a Designers Site Representative, you will be supervising the construction of the major element of the HS2 project in Birmingham. You will be witnessing construction operations, inspecting the works, raising and closing out non-conformance reports; and establishing and managing systems for receiving and answering technical queries.

The position will be outside IR35 and will require the candidate to be on site between 3-5 days a week.
 
 
The role
·Serve as the crucial link between the designer and the contractor, coordinating engineering support and technical advice for site queries, to support a timely delivery of the works
·Critically review the detailed design and foresee any site operations for which the designers should be involved
·Answering technical queries from the contractor and taking these back to the design team offering a quick turn around.  
·Be able to challenge stakeholders from both the construction and design teams and have a solution orientated approach.
·For the right candidate their is also the opportunity to split time in role and be undertaking technical designs for the consultancy.
 
 
The Ideal Candidate
·Senior or principal design engineer and technical specialist.
·Previous experience ad designer site representative would be an advantage.
·Chartered engineer would be an advantage.
·Be prepared to be site based 3-5 days a week.
