• Job Title - Design Engineer
• Location - Reading (4 Days a week)
• Contract Length - 1 Year (possible 1 year extension)
• Pay Rate - Up To £550 a day OUTSIDE IR35

This role will be perfect for an experienced design engineer who is looking to work on some of the best nuclear/defence projects in the UK then read on.

Responsibilities:

• Authoring technical documentation such as: Design Change Notes, Technical Queries, Concessions, Commissioning Reservations, Design Review Reports, Meeting Minutes & Technical Notes
• Preparing for and Presenting at Design Reviews
• Design Review Reservation Closeout
• Inspection and Test Plan Reviewing
• Requirements Management and Traceability authoring and reviewing Validation & Verification Requirements Matrix's
• Resolving Manufacturing, Installation and Commissioning Challenges with the support of the Senior Design Engineer and under the direction of the Senior Engineering Manager.
• Progressing Documentation through Document Management Systems
• Assisting with the Certification of Design process to maintain the technical baseline
• Reviewing drawings & technical documents

Key experiences/knowledges:

• Preferably Mechanical Engineer discipline focus.
• Stakeholder management
• Generation of Engineering Change Requests 
• Technical review/approval of Non-Conformance Notice
• Ensure appropriate supplier co-ordination meetings are held and attend as necessary to ensure client requirements are being maintained
