Job description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a DCO Project Manager to work on multiple National Highways schemes up to a value of over £1 billion. This is a full-time role which offers remote work and ad-hoc office/site travel when required. Manchester would be the main location. 
 
This is a 6-12 month contract which has been deemed outside IR35.
 
The role
 
·Project management of the National Highways DCO process activities including inputting to strategies and processes
·Co-ordination of input from clients and other technical resources and Pinsent Masons to ensure DCO deadlines are achieved
·Track, review and report on progress of the DCO plans and work with the team to enable the delivery of the plans
·Collaboration with other parts of National Highways on DCO risks and opportunities
·Ability to escalate issues as appropriate
·Single point of contact with the Planning Inspectorate on behalf of National Highways
·Sharing of lessons learnt with other National Highways project teams
 
Skills required
 
·Strong experience of working with DCOs, and within the National Infrastructure Projects Consenting practice
·Experience of managing teams to successful development of complex, medium/high risk projects or high-profile projects
·Experience of managing complex relationships with multiple stakeholders and evidence of skills to influence relationships for positive outcomes
·Experience of managing and maintaining agreed project plans and detailed stage plans in conjunction with delivery partners
·Excellent communication and organisation skills
