Role: Customer Service Advisor - Collections
Location: Lincoln
Duration: 3 months after which the role will become permanent
Hours: 37 per week on a rota basis
Salary: £20,000
Start Date: October
My client is looking for Customer Service Advisors to join their busy collections team based in Lincoln.
dealing with a wide range of telephone calls in our call centres. You'll be taking inbound calls and, on occasion, making outbound calls.
You will work an average of 37 hours per week, with shifts between Monday and Sunday, 6am to 11pm. Bank holiday working will also be required. Your shift pattern will vary week to week, although you will be given 3 weeks' notice of your upcoming shift pattern for the next month. After one year to 18 months we will undergo a preference exercise with you, to try and establish your preferred regular shift pattern, where possible.
Responsibilities include:
·Using our internal support mechanisms for customers to make their payments and/or bill affordable
·Signposting customers who need additional support to charities and support on a local and national level
·Promoting the Priority Service Register
·Liaising with Customer Relation Managers, Court Bailiffs and High Court Enforcement Officers
·Maintaining customer records based on information gained and working within GDPR guidelines
·Make outbound calls
·Manage customer expectations and provide first time resolution
·Identifying customer who would benefit from a different tariff
·Discuss card payments with customer, find missing payments, set up future arrangements and ensure the customer understands
Skills and Experience:
·Excellent communication skills
·A high degree of empathy to customer needs and circumstances
·To be confident and passionate about customer service
·To have resilience in dealing with difficult calls
·Experience of working to targets or deadlines
·The ability to use IT systems
·Adaptability and a willingness to learn
