Role: Cost Manager / Senior Cost Manager
Location: Bristol or Exeter
Duration: 12 months (on-going contract)
Pay: £50-£60 Per hour inside IR35

If you're a Cost and Carbon Consultant looking to move into an exciting Environmental focused growth-sector then this opportunity might be for you. Join our Cost & Commercial Management team where you will take ownership of a range projects, on cost and carbon management assignments, ensuring standards of delivery meet defined objectives You will be working as part of a team alongside Project and Senior level Cost Consultants to manage and deliver the projects, liaising with external contractors and consultants on a project basis while reporting to clients and stakeholders.
 
As a Cost and Carbon Consultant, you will be working as part of a team alongside colleagues to manage and deliver projects, liaise with external contractors and consultants on a project basis, and report to clients and stakeholders.  
 
You and the team will be responsible for utilising resource to deliver projects within cost, time and quality standards, and will have significant technical knowledge and experience in their field.
 
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
·Producing estimates of project cost and carbon impact at business case (pre-construction), as well as capturing whole life project carbon, developing benchamakrs and estimates of future spend.
·Interrogating and assuring our clients that they receive Value for Money. 
·Support our clients to set target cost for their projets. 
·Understanding and communicating the impact of carbon in relation to cost estimates produced, whilst supporting those around you to undersntaid and implement reduction in cost and carbon on their projects.
·Act as a risk facilitator to compile risk registers and valuing risks using Monte-Carlo analysis and other approaches. 
 
 
Requirements
·In-depth technical knowledge of specialised field, including construction processes and cost and carbon management in a consultancy setting
·Experience estimating in a relevant field e.g. civils, flood risk management, waterways, MEICA. 
·Experience of setting target costs for PSC and ECC contracts 
·Familiarity with standard forms of construction contracts (NEC3 and 4) and the infrastructure and construction industry 
·Experience or training in carbon management e.g. IEMA Certified Carbon Management Course 
·Possess the skills and experience to actively support the internal team and manage more junior staff on projects typically ranging between £1m and £20m.
·Demonstration of self-management and prioritisation skills with the ability to work under pressure
·Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to influence stakeholders and third parties
·RICS or ACostE accredited 
·Capable of taking a project through from inception to completion
