Contract Delivery Manager - Arboriculture (Utilities)

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Contract Delivery Manager with our client who are one of the UK's fastest growing external maintenance and commercial landscaping companies.

They offer a fully nationwide service that includes grounds maintenance, winter and vegetation management, soft and hard landscaping, ecology, design & build, pest control and fencing. Working with some of the most high profile private and public organisations in Utilities - including Western Power Distribution, UKPN and SSE, they provide a full range of Arboriculture (Arb) solutions to support major Utilities projects.

A new position has now opened up for a Contract Delivery Manager in North Wales and Cheshire areas working alongside a major Utilities provider. Location for this role can be across the UK however as there is scope for remote or home working currently.

The Contract Delivery Manager's overall remit will be to ensure that overhead power line Arb work is completed on time and within a geographical area using a team of Project Managers and field cutting teams. The role will see the CDM's time split equally between management of the Project Managers whilst also being required to take a hands-on approach to UA5 surveying and managing their own workload.

Ideally you will have some of the following:

  • Between 3-5 years' experience in similar Arb Contract Manager role with a solid background ideally within Arb Utilities.
  • Supervisory experience which will include organising, motivating and managing a team.
  • The ability to prioritise workload and balance demands from a variety of sources, making sure that all stakeholder needs are met.
  • Able to build and maintain strong working relationships with a variety of business areas.
  • Be able to interact, communicate effectively, influence and motivate others.
  • Excellent organisational, communication and planning skills.
  • NPTC Utility Arboriculture Units 1, 2.1, 5.1 and 5.2 - would be an asset within the role but are not considered essential.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • LANTRA Basic or Professional Tree Inspectors Qualification.
