Construction Manager - Gas Infrastructure (AGI/PRS Upgrades)
Location: Cilfrew- Wales
Contract Duration: 18 Weeks
Start Date: 7th May 2025 (Planning & Prep Phase), Site Start: 30th June 2025
Rate:
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead a critical national gas infrastructure project involving Above Ground Installation (AGI) and Pressure Reduction Station (PRS) upgrades. This role demands strong leadership, excellent technical knowledge, and the ability to deliver safely, to specification, and to tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
·Oversee and coordinate all site activities, contractors, and construction personnel throughout the 18-week programme.
·Ensure delivery of the construction phase within a strict 10-week gas off period.
·Provide expert supervision, customer liaison, and on-the-ground technical support to the Project Manager.
·Manage planning, preparation, and logistics from 7th May (home-based), transitioning to site management from 30th June.
·Maintain full compliance with CDM Regulations, national gas specifications, and IGE/TD/13.
·Deliver construction activities aligned with civil, mechanical, testing, and commissioning requirements.
·Act as the Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) and ensure safety procedures and site standards are upheld.
Essential Skills & Experience:
·10-15 years of experience in UK gas infrastructure projects, ideally AGI/PRS upgrades.
·Chartered Engineer status or significant Project Management experience.
·Detailed knowledge of CDM Regulations, IGE TD/13, and national gas specifications and procedures.
·Proven ability to manage multiple teams and disciplines under high-pressure, time-sensitive conditions.
·Strong planning, coordination, and communication skills.
Qualifications (Preferred but not essential):
·Chartered Engineer (CEng) or equivalent.
·Recognised Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) qualification.
·SMSTS / CSCS / First Aid (desirable).
