Role: Commissioning Engineer
Location: London/Chelmsford/Thames Valley
Salary: Up to £55,000 p/a depending on experience

Are you a junior or experienced Commissioning Engineer?


Are you looking for a new challenge in the water sector?


My client is looking for an Commissioning Engineer to work across multiple M&E projects in and around London on the Thames Water framework.
You will be based in sites across London (including Central) and the Thames Valley region, and office attendance will occasionally be required in Chelmsford.


Your role will involve:
 
- Commissioning on various Thames Water projects.
- Developing relationships with the client to ensure a smooth delivery and handover.
- Providing the Commissioning Manager with progress updates and raise concerns where necessary.
- Be responsible for the health and safety of the commissioning phase of the project.
- Ensure the commissioning is to the appropriate levels of quality and to standards and manufacturers best practice.
- Producing and review Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all commissioning-based activities.
- Assisting the production of commissioning plans, inspection test plans and training manuals.
- The commissioning, interfacing and setting to work of equipment.
- Assisting the design team by undertaking site visits to gather information for the purposes of tendering or design prior to construction.
- Undertaking Factory Acceptance Testing for major items of plant.
- Liaising with our suppliers and subcontractors throughout the on-site commissioning process.
- Assisting the design team and preparing electrical designs.
- Undertaking client training covering both operational and technical competencies.
- Completing commissioning records and diaries ensuring that all progress and equipment settings are recorded for the O&M manuals.
- Developing relationships with the client to ensure a smooth delivery and handover.
- 45 hour working week.
 
 
Required Skills:


·Commissioning experience in the water sector is ideal but other sector will be considered such as oil, gas and pharmaceutical
·Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering degree, but other qualifications will be considered for the role including HND/HNC level and significant relevant experience.
·Good commercial awareness.
·Computer literacy, particularly with MS Office applications is essential.
·Ability to work to target dates across multiple projects, whilst maintaining output and timescale requirements.
·Hold a valid full UK driving license.
·Eligible to work in the UK.
