Job description

Divisional Commissioning Manager - Water & Wastewater
Permanent | 40hrs | Monday-Friday | High autonomy | Reporting to Delivery Director
A key leadership role taking ownership of the commissioning function across a varied water and wastewater project portfolio. You'll lead a dedicated commissioning team, work closely with Delivery, Design, Safety and Quality, and ensure projects are technically compliant, safe, and handed over right first time.

What you'll do
Commissioning Management
·Lead and manage the commissioning team across multiple projects.
·Ensure readiness for commissioning: completed installation, red-line drawings, signed ITPs and ATEX inspections.
·Maintain high standards of documentation and alignment with internal governance.
·Work with Project and Regional Managers to develop robust commissioning plans.
·Develop and implement process commissioning strategies for water and wastewater treatment systems.
·Audit and review documentation for accuracy and completeness.
·Provide feedback to Estimating for improved cost planning.
People & Team Leadership
·Conduct skills gap analysis and manage recruitment and training needs.
·Deliver regular reviews and development plans.
·Promote cross-training to increase team flexibility.
·Drive shared learning across SHEQ, Delivery and other departments.
Reporting, Safety & Governance
·Provide clear, timely reporting on commissioning status and issues.
·Ensure control and consistency of documentation, including digital tools.
·Champion a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with company H&S procedures.
·Maintain vigilance around information security and report any concerns.
You'll manage a team of 5-10 people, coordinate with internal and 3rd party teams, and travel to various offices and sites across the region.

Requirements
Essential
·IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent)
·Electrical Test & Inspect certification
·CCNSG (or similar)
·EUSR (or similar)
·Emergency First Aid / First Aider
·Fitness for Work medical clearance
Desirable
·ECS Gold Card
·Additional Electrical Test & Inspect certification
·Process commissioning knowledge (water/wastewater treatment & pumping)
·Control philosophy, software and PLC understanding
·Telemetry, PROFIBUS and Ethernet network commissioning
