Commercial Manager - 12 Month Contract
£590 per day - IR35 Status TBC
Reading - Site Based (potential to negotiate hybrid working)
Are you an experienced Commercial Manager with a demonstrable track-record in construction or engineering teams?
Are you looking for a long-term contract working on project critical to the UK Government?
This could be for you!

Key Responsibilities:
·Provide commercial expertise during project acquisition phase.
·Ensure optimal commercial staffing for project teams.
·Manage commercial personnel overseeing:
oSupply chain management (including contracts)
oCommercial Document Control
oCost control (including CLR completion)
oCommercial reporting
oPlanning/program management
oCash management
oFoster relationships with stakeholders
·Implement and enforce commercial procedures and reporting for compliance.
·Maintain contract-compliant records and address contractual issues.
·Guide and develop the commercial team for succession planning.
·Provide commercial advice to Contract Leader and Sector management.
·Collaborate with Commercial Managers for consistency.
·Manage and report on project-related insurances.
·Review value management and advise on risk management.
·Report health, safety, and environmental risks to Contract Leader/Project Manager.
About You:
·Extensive post-graduate commercial experience in construction (construction experience is essential)
·Demonstrated financial and commercial acumen.
·Logical, methodical, and practical approach.
·Creative problem-solving with a strategic mindset.
·Proficient in technical minute taking and report preparation.
·Expertise in procurement and contract strategy development.
·Proven negotiation and team leadership skills.
·Strong analytical skills.
·Legal, contractual, and construction knowledge.
·Experience in implementing strategic objectives and change programs.
·Confidence and influence with an RICS/CICES accredited degree.
·Full Membership of RICS or CICES.
