Due to recently secured tenders my client is looking for a rail engineer (+4 years) to undertake detailed design on various rail schemes. They are a diverse consultancy and undertake projects such as lineside civils, power and bridge design.
 
Location: Kingston upon Thames - 4 days required to be in office. Occasional site visit required
Salary: dependant on experience but would also consider a contractor for the right candidate

Requirements:
·Degree level qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering
·Minimum of 4 years' relevant experience in a design consultancy
·4 years' experience of executing, leading and managing the design of projects within rail or similar sector
·2 years' experience of managing a team of engineers and technicians and evidence of developing their skills and knowledge
·Experience of mentoring and coaching junior engineers and technicians
·Experience of preparing bid proposals
 
The following are desirable for successful performance in the role:
·A Masters level degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
·Membership of a relevant professional body (ICE or IStructE) or near chartered
·Experience of effective financial management and control of projects
