Site Manager - Water
Location: Didcott/ Oxford area
Employment Type: Long-term contract (with a view to permanent)
Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum + package
Are you an experienced Site Manager looking for long-term, stable work within the water sector?
If you have a background in managing complex civils and utilities packages and are comfortable working on large water mains projects, this could be the right opportunity for you.
Our client, a tier-one contractor working in partnership with a major UK water company, is seeking a Site Manager to join their team. This is a key role on a critical water infrastructure programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Construction Manager, oversee daily operations on-site
- Manage supervisors, direct labour teams, and subcontractors
- Ensure all works are carried out to the highest health, safety, and quality standards
- Maintain compliance with water industry regulations and client specifications
- Plan and coordinate plant requirements and temporary works
- Drive performance against project programme, budget, and quality KPIs
Candidate Requirements
- Strong site management experience within the water sector
- Deep excavation and large diameter water mains experience essential
- Knowledge of temporary works and related health & safety procedures
- Experience coordinating direct labour and subcontractors
- Comfortable working in a highly regulated and quality-critical environment
- SMSTS, CSCS, and ideally EUSR (Clean Water)
