Civil Engineer

Operating mainly in the residential and commercial sectors, we are seeking a passionate Civil Engineer to join our team.
Main Role & Duties:
- Drainage Strategies: Produce drainage strategy drawings/details, including maintenance plan schedules, suitable for submission to the Local Authority in support of planning applications.
- SuDs: Lead the design and integration of Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SuDS) to manage surface water runoff, reduce flood risks, and improve water quality.
- Detailed Drainage Design: Design underground drainage networks, utilizing Causeway Flow design software for surface water modeling, where required.
- Flood Risk Assessments: Conduct flood risk assessments to evaluate potential flood hazards, identify vulnerable areas, and propose mitigation measures.
- External Works & Highways: Calculate and coordinate site levels, specify external works construction details, and produce drawings for sectional agreements.
- Attend client and design team meetings to discuss technical issues, project schedules, contracts, and commercial matters, with support from colleagues.
Experience, Qualifications & Attributes:
- Strong experience and understanding of highway and drainage design, including SuDS.
- Familiarity with highways and drainage sectional agreements.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or similar), with at least 3 years of post-graduate experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- A passion for the built environment and a commitment to continually developing new skills.
Job Particulars & Benefits:
- Full-time, permanent role. Office-based, with hybrid options available.
- 8.30am-5.00pm, Monday to Friday (1-hour lunch, flexible).
