Job Role - CE&I Engineer
 
Location - North West Cumbria
 
Contract Length - 12 Months
 
Pay Rate - £29.71 an hour PAYE/£40 an hour Umbrella
 
I am looking to speak with candidates that have experience in a highly regulated industry and are fully aware of the nee for safety in the working environment.
 
I am recruiting for a CE&I engineer to work on a contract basis on site in Cumbria with the occasional remote working. The need will be for support to the CE&I responsible engineer and the design authority.
 
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
·Serve as the project responsible engineer when required , having the formal delegated authority as design authority for infrastructure projects and tasks.
·Generate and/or manage the generation of design deliverables including specifications, calculations, technical reports, drawings and 3-D models.
·Inputting to and reviewing work packaging, tender selection, and tender submissions for procurement of CE&I related engineering services.
·Identification and management of design, engineering and technical risks that affect delivery of tasks and projects.
·Management of CE&I related drawings/models and drawing/model quality; supporting the
·development and maintenance of configuration baselines and design bases within the CE&I area.
·Carrying out plant walk-downs as required.
·Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with the Engineering Design Manual and supporting management system documents.
·Identifying appropriate engineering standards and practices to be used for the delivery of engineering work.
·Attend team meetings and provide regular updates on work delivered/supported to the Project Engineering Manager, and weekly updates at Programme schedule/programme reviews.
Required Relevant Experience
·CE&I design and engineering role within a highly regulated industry e.g. Nuclear / Oil and Gas / Pharma/ Chemicals.
·Design on the full project life cycle (requirement capture and design, through to construction, commissioning and handover), ideally with experience of supporting plant operations, producing high-quality technical reports, specifications and engineering documentation.
·Projects covering instrumentation/Operational Technology (programmable and configuration systems) and electrical distribution (high voltage, low voltage and earthing)
·Preference is for the candidate to have a background in HV/LV/earthing (up to 11KV) but candidates with instrumentation/Operational Technology background will be considered.
·Detailed knowledge of industry consensus standards, processes, procedures and methods relevant to the CE&I area.
