Bus Priority Lead Officer
I'm currently recruiting for a Bus Priority Lead Officer to manage and lead the development of the Bus Priority Approach for a Local Authority, with a focus on delivering the Green Bus Routes Programme as a key element of Bus Priority.  This is a £170m project to deliver ambitious bus priority and other major route improvements.
The successful candidate will be expected to work directly on all aspects of the delivery of the introduction of bus priority measures with the support of other members of the Bus Team.
My client is looking at candidates with a background in sustainable transport infrastructure or active travel and demonstrable experience working on bus networks.
The wider role includes day-to-day management of staff, managing existing Clients and workload, and assisting with development of new business and Clients, particularly in the North-west and the Midlands.
 
The Ideal Candidate
·Degree qualified in a relevant engineering / transport planning discipline.
·Ideally 10 + Years demonstrable experience
·Background in sustainable transport / active travel is highly desirable
·Demonstrable experience working on bus networks
·Understanding of options for Bus Priority measures and active travel measures and the benefits of each and the challenges that there is around the implementation of Bus Priority and Active Travel
·Experience managing people and projects
·Ability to work under pressure
·Ability to navigate Government departments and processes.
·Experience of working with Government officials/Civil Servants is highly desirable
·Track record of delivery of large-scale projects and managing associated budgets
