Location: Newcastle

A leading consultancy is expanding their healthcare team in Newcastle. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Associate Mechanical Engineer to join a growing and dynamic team, with a clear path for career progression towards Director level.

Key Responsibilities:

·Lead technical delivery of mechanical design projects for healthcare facilities, ensuring high-quality, sustainable solutions
·Manage client relationships and act as the primary point of contact for key healthcare accounts
·Drive business development initiatives to expand the healthcare sector portfolio
·Oversee the preparation of design calculations, technical reports, and specifications
·Ensure compliance with building standards and regulations for hospitals and healthcare facilities
·Collaborate with the national delivery team to ensure alignment with business objectives and efficient project execution
·Contribute to the strategic direction and growth of the healthcare team in Newcastle
·Mentor and develop junior engineers, helping to grow the team and create a culture of innovation and technical excellence

What We're Looking For:

·Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services
·Proven experience in client-facing roles within the healthcare sector
·Strong knowledge of building standards and regulations for healthcare facilities, including hospitals
·Experience with technical delivery of mechanical design projects in the healthcare sector
·A deep understanding of mechanical design tools such as IES, Revit, and AutoCAD
·Ability to manage business development and client relationship management
·Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor junior engineers
·A strategic mindset with the ambition to build and lead a successful team
