Job description

Carrington West are thrilled to offer a chance to join a leading Transport and Environmental consultancy in the North of England. Our client is currently looking for a Transport Planner to join their team in Sheffield as an Associate Director - Transport Planning. 
 
This role will allow the successful candidate to work directly with the senior management within the company as well as manage more junior staff. The role offers the chance to progress to Director in the not to distance future.  
 
Experience / Skills & Qualifications Required: 
 
·Degree qualified in a relevant subject (Geography or Civil Engineering, an MSc in Transport Planning is highly desirable)
·Support the preparation of technical assessment documents and reports for planning submissions.
·Experience of Transport Assessments / Statements, Travel Plans and sustainability assessments 
·Providing planning-stage support for a variety of development schemes
·A good understanding of Highway Design Principles and Guidance
·Highways & Junction design (priority, roundabout, traffic signals, transport assessments)
·Experience using Arcady, Picady, Linsig, AutoCAD & Auto Track
·Strong written, numerical and verbal communication skills
·Strong IT skills, in particular using Excel. 
·Applicants MUST be eligible to live and work in the UK, and hold a Full Valid UK Driving Licence
