Location: Birmingham (Hybrid working)

We're working with a forward-thinking planning consultancy with ambitious growth plans for its Birmingham office. They're now looking to appoint an Associate Director / Planning Director to play a pivotal role in driving the business forward and delivering high-profile planning projects across the UK.

The role
This is a key leadership hire as part of an ambitious growth strategy. You'll take a leading role in expanding the Birmingham presence, winning and delivering work, and helping shape the future direction of the planning team.
You'll be involved in:
·Identifying and delivering new development opportunities
·Leading major mixed-use and strategic urban extension projects nationwide
·Working closely with national housebuilders, land promoters, and landowners
·Providing leadership, mentorship, and direction to planning teams
·Contributing at a senior level to business development and growth strategy
About you
·Degree-qualified in Town Planning or a related discipline
·Significant experience within a UK planning consultancy
·Proven experience preparing and submitting planning applications and appeals
·Confident leader with excellent communication and client-facing skills
·Track record of delivering high-quality work to tight deadlines
·RTPI membership (or eligibility)
