Job Title: Associate/Associate Director - Town Planning
Location: Reading or Bristol
About Us: We are working with large and well established planning consultancy who have offices all across the UK and are currently seeking an experienced town planning associate/associate director to come in and hit the ground running, helping to build and grow the client base within either their Bristol or Reading team.
Role Overview: As the Associate Director of Town Planning, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing town planning projects, providing strategic guidance to clients, and contributing to the growth and success of our consultancy. This position requires a seasoned town planning professional with a strong background in consultancy and a passion for creating thriving and sustainable urban environments.
Key Responsibilities:
·Lead and oversee town planning projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and delivering high-quality outcomes for clients.
·Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders.
·Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate town planning considerations into broader projects.
·Stay abreast of legislative changes, industry trends, and best practices in town planning.
·Mentor and develop junior staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
·Contribute to business development efforts, including client engagement, proposal development, and networking activities.
Requirements:
·Significant experience in town planning, with a proven track record in a consultancy environment.
·In-depth knowledge of planning legislation, policies, and procedures.
·Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to deliver results on time and within budget.
·Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.
·Ability to provide strategic advice and innovative solutions to complex planning challenges.
·Membership in a relevant professional organization (e.g., RTPI).
