Assistant Transport Planner
Location: Fleet, Hampshire or Birmingham
Salary:
·Assistant Level: £28,000 - £34,000
Type: Full-time, Permanent
Work Pattern: Monday to Friday | Office-based

This is a fantastic opportunity for either a Graduate or Assistant Transport Planner looking to join a highly experienced team working on a variety of exciting transport and infrastructure projects across the UK. With a strong emphasis on training, mentoring and progression, you'll have the chance to make a real impact from day one.

Key Responsibilities:
·Prepare Transport Assessments and Transport Statements
·Prepare Travel Plans and assist with Travel Plan coordination
·Analyse and present technical data and drawings
·Undertake junction capacity assessments using ARCADY, PICADY and LINSIG
·Liaise with clients, contractors, and local/national authorities
·Support the delivery of advice to clients on highways and transport matters
·Conduct site appraisals and surveys, and contribute to reports and presentations
·Maintain up-to-date project documentation (both digital and paper)
·Assist with other transport-related tasks as directed by your team leader

What We're Looking For:
Education / Background:
·Degree in Transport Planning, Geography, or Civil Engineering (essential)
·Understanding or experience of UK Transport Planning standards and processes (essential)
·Minimum 1-2 years' experience in a similar consultancy environment preferred
Technical Skills:
·Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
·Comfortable working with numerical data and spreadsheets
·Experience with ARCADY, PICADY and LINSIG (essential)
·AutoCAD experience (desirable)

·Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
·Confident communication skills (written and verbal)
·Excellent attention to detail
·Ability to manage own workload and work to deadlines

Candidate Criteria:
