As an Assistant Town Planner, you will play a key role in supporting our town planning initiatives and helping shape the future of our local area.
Responsibilities:
·Collaborate with senior town planners and other stakeholders to assist in the development and implementation of strategic planning projects.
·Conduct research and analysis on planning policies, regulations, and local development plans.
·Prepare and submit planning applications, appeals, and related documentation.
·Participate in site visits, public consultations, and meetings with clients, residents, and other professionals.
·Contribute to the preparation of planning reports, assessments, and recommendations.
·Keep up-to-date with industry trends, changes in legislation, and best practices in town planning.
·Support the team in maintaining effective communication with local authorities, community groups, and relevant organizations.
·Assist in the monitoring and enforcement of planning conditions and obligations.
Requirements:
·Degree in Town Planning or a related field.
·Prior experience working in a planning role or internship is desirable.
·Strong understanding of UK planning policies, legislation, and regulatory frameworks.
·Proficient in using planning software, GIS, and other relevant tools.
·Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
·Effective written and verbal communication skills.
·Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
·Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
