Assistant Quantity Surveyor
 
Colchester, Essex
 
£32,000 - £34,000 per annum
 
My client is a leading highways specialist with over 100 years' experience in road and runway maintenance services across the UK, dedicated to delivering high-quality solutions to an impressive scope of clients. They have recently expanded following huge success and are looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor with 1-2 years' experience to support the Colchester office and contribute to the continuing growth of the company.
 
They offer services within fields such as asphalt geosynthetics, specialist surfacing and minor civils and utilise modern technological developments designed and built in-house to lead the way within the industry.

Key Responsibilities:
 
·Assist in the preparation and evaluation of tenders and contracts.
·Conduct cost analysis and cost management for ongoing projects.
·Collaborate with project managers and site teams to monitor and control project budgets.
·Assist in the measurement and valuation of work done on-site.
·Prepare and maintain accurate project records and documentation.
·Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients as necessary.
·Support the team in risk management and cost forecasting.
 
Key Requirements:
 
·Minimum of one years' experience in Quantity Surveying.
·A Quantity Surveying degree or equivalent qualification.
·Highways/civil engineering experience is preferable but not mandatory.
·Enthusiastic, commercially-minded, and dedicated to a career in Quantity Surveying.
·Strong analytical and numerical skills.
·Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
·Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.
·Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
·A proactive and detail-oriented approach to work.
