Job Title: Assistant Engineer
 
Location: Bristol, UK
 
Salary: £30,000-£32,000 per annum
 
My client are a civil engineering contractor providing highways maintenance and ground engineering services within the South-West region, working on a variety of frameworks with high profile clients.
 
They're looking for an Assistant Engineer to join the team based in Bristol. This role will be a mixture of visiting sites and being responsible for documentation within the office. Recent graduates with an interest in pursuing a career within construction are welcome to apply, but 1-2 years experience within the industry would be preferable.
 
Responsibilities of the Assistant Engineer:
·Preparation of contract documents for highways projects.
·Plan and programme activities.
·Implement quality control.
·Check works in accordance with specification expectations.
·Conduct site visits.
·Liaise with key clients as and when necessary.
 
Requirements of the Assistant Engineer:
·A degree within Civil Engineering or related field.
·1-2 years experience within the construction industry preferable.
·Experience/working knowledge of highways sector also preferable.
·Based in or able to commute to Bristol region.
·Willingness to learn and multi-task within a busy environment.
·Good team player skills and communication abilities.
·Full UK Drivers License.
 
Assistant Engineer Package:
·A competitive salary of £30,000-£32,000 per annum.
