Role: Assistant Laboratory Technician / Analyst - Water Location: Huntingdon Rate: £11.00 per hour - PAYE = £21,164 equivalent annual salary Hours: 37 hours per week Duration: Temporary to permanent over 12 weeks Start date: ASAP
My client is one of the best known company names in the area and looking to looking to expand their scientific team by hiring a Laboratory Analyst for a temporary contact which is due to run for 12 weeks and likely to transition in to a permanent position.
This role is based from Huntingdon you will be working as part of an experienced team carrying out time critical , process driven tasks
- Work with environmental and water based samples - Carry out sample analysis - Quality assurance checks - Deliver results with given time scale - Recording and downloading data
The ideal candidate will come from a scientific back ground and have previous experience of working in a laboratory which can come from an academic setting (eg university or college) or a professional work environment.
Standard working hours are 9am -5pm Monday - Friday with an early and late shift on rotation every 4-6 weeks, early shift is a week of 6am - 2pm and late shift is 2pm - 10pm For example over the space of 6 weeks you will work 4weeks standard hours, 1 week early shifts , 1 week late shifts.
