Job Title: Arboriculture Surveyor

Contract Duration: 6 months

Location: Various locations alongside major highways in and around London

Position Summary: As an Arboriculture Surveyor, you will play a vital role in assessing the safety and condition of trees alongside major highways. Your expertise will ensure that potential risks are identified and addressed promptly, minimising the impact on road users and surrounding areas. You will conduct thorough surveys, provide detailed reports, and make recommendations for appropriate tree management strategies. This is a contract position with a duration of 6 months, offering a competitive daily rate of £280 (OUTSIDE IR35)

Key Responsibilities:
·Conduct comprehensive surveys of trees and foliage located alongside major highways, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry best practices.
·Assess the structural integrity, health, and overall condition of trees, identifying potential hazards and risks.
·Use specialized equipment and tools to measure tree dimensions, assess decay, and detect pest infestations.
·Prepare detailed reports, documenting survey findings, and providing recommendations for tree management and maintenance.
·Collaborate with internal teams, including engineers, project managers, and landscape architects, to develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
·Liaise with external stakeholders, such as local authorities, landowners, and environmental agencies, to ensure compliance and obtain necessary permits or approvals.
·Stay updated on industry trends, advancements, and best practices in arboriculture and tree safety management.

Qualifications and Requirements:
·Proven experience as an Arboriculture Surveyor, preferably with experience in assessing trees alongside major highways.
·Level 3 Diploma in Arboriculture
·Strong knowledge of tree species, tree risk assessment methodologies, and relevant legislation and guidelines.
·Proficient in using tree surveying equipment and tools, including laser rangefinders, resistograph, and decay detection equipment.
·Excellent report writing and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
·Self-motivated and able to work independently, managing your own workload and meeting project deadlines.
·Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various locations alongside major highways.
·Commitment to safety, attention to detail, and a passion for environmental preservation.
