Carrington West are assisting their local authority client based in London in their search for an Arboricultural Assistant on an initial 3month contract.
The main area of work will be to inspect trees on council open space and communal housing land in response to enquiries and to follow up findings from our tree survey where tree marking prior to contracting out of felling is required.
 
·The same may be required in some cases where tree surgery to significant trees is to be carried out.
·Inspections and work orders should be carried out using the Councils My Trees System.
·Provide advice, using professional judgement to ensure the implementation and enforcement of statutory regulations in relation to Tree Preservation Orders, Conservation Area and Council owned tree matters as part of the Trees and Woodlands service.
·Support the Arboricultural Officer in the delivery of the Landscape, Trees and Woodlands services, so that it meets statutory targets, regulations and legislation and seeks to deliver corporate priorities.
· Deputise for the Arboricultural Officer in meeting the demands of these roles during any periods of their absence
 
 
Pay rate is negotiable depending on experience, with the role being deemed inside IR35.
