Allotments and Smallholdings Manager
 
I am recruiting for an Allotments and Smallholdings Manager to join a client in Bristol.
 
The Allotments and Smallholdings Manager will lead the development, promotion, management and administration of the allotment service to include allotments, grazing land, agricultural and horticultural smallholdings, to achieve optimum utilisation of available food growing land.
 
1.Strategic review to develop and implement the Allotment and Smallholdings Strategy responding to the Climate and Ecological Emergencies leading to the delivery of optimal land utilisation, a quality and sustainable allotment service.
 
2.To manage all aspects of line managed staff, volunteer, finance and property resources. Continually review and improve processes/systems to achieve optimal inspection and administrative efficiency whilst providing a good tenant experience.
3.Maximise income streams for continued service improvement at a neutral revenue cost to the Council.
4.To support staff dealing with enquiries, complaints, inter-tenant disputes and information requests by engaging with relevant customers and stakeholders
5.Determine, prioritise, and control the repair and capital works programme for the delivery of improvements to assets managed.
6.Promote allotments in general and in particular to under-represented groups, increasing diversity and inclusion of tenants. To ensure that tenant occupancy levels achieves the targets.
