Are you an experience administrator looking for a temporary position?
 
The purpose of this role is to assist with the administration and finance of the Maritime Section, including filing, licensing, petty cash, income reconciliation, invoice generation - including monthly batch runs, managing customer accounts, supplier enquiries, updating databases and assisting with debt recovery.  In addition, this role provides a first point of contact for Maritime telephone enquiries and visitors to the offices.
 
This role will be predominantly based at our head office in Truro, but there will be a need to visit and occasionally work from other harbours.
 
 
·Assisting with general administrative duties including mail merge, filing, scanning, photocopying etc.
·Dealing with a variety of maritime enquiries by e-mail, telephone, VHF radio or in person.
·To update mooring database with customer and boat details to ensure that all information including tariff codes are correct for invoicing and licensing purposes.
·Liaising with individual harbours ensuring that the information is complete and up to date to process ad-hoc and monthly and customer invoices
·Dealing with enquiries from suppliers, raising orders and receipting invoices for payment through Oracle
·Administering and distributing Harbour Master Notices and Notice to Mariners as well as maintaining an up-to-date distribution list
·Processing applications, organising inspections and examinations and issuing Boat and Boatmen Licences
·Managing monthly debt recovery and customer accounts for the Maritime Section and reporting to Senior Maritime Assistants
·Processing applications, checking details and issuing water ski/jet ski permits
·To compile information, seek advertisers and produce annual tide tables for several of the harbours
·Taking card payments and cashing up seasonal patrol officers cash tins
·To maintain up to date petty cash records and process related receipts
·Managing the email inbox for the Maritime Section and distributing to the relevant member of staff.
