Eve joined our infrastructure and highways team in 2021. Whilst facing recruitment challenges in her market, Eve has been promoted to senior consultant and developed strong resilience skills and a positive mindset, which she uses every day to do her best, and continually improve.
What initially attracted you to Carrington West and a career in recruitment?
I’ve always loved working with people, so a social career really appealed to me. I’m also money motivated; I wanted a career where I could have control over my earnings. When I met the team, everyone was so genuine and friendly, I knew straight away it was the kind of environment I wanted to work in.
What do you enjoy most about your career at Carrington West?
I really enjoy the teamwork. Everyone supports one another and celebrates success together, which makes it such a positive place to work!
How have you progressed since joining?
I started as a consultant in 2021 and was promoted to senior consultant at the start of 2025. Since joining, I’ve grown both professionally and personally. I’ve built confidence, improved my communication skills, and learned how to manage challenges with a positive mindset.
What key skill have you developed since starting?
Resilience is the biggest skill that I’ve been able to develop. Recruitment can be unpredictable, but I’ve learned how to handle setbacks while staying focused and motivated. It’s taught me to keep a positive attitude and bounce back quickly when things don’t go to plan.
What helps you perform at your best each day?
A positive mindset and clear goals. I like having a plan for the day and ticking things off as I go, it keeps me motivated throughout the day.
What advice would you give to someone considering recruitment?
Work hard, stay positive, and celebrate the small wins. Recruitment isn’t always easy, but it’s a career that rewards hard work and persistence.
What’s next for you?
My next goal is to be promoted to lead consultant. I’m excited to keep growing and learning!
