Job Role - Waste Technician
 
Location - New Romney
 
Contract Length - Until the End of the Financial year
 
Pay Rate - £16.35 an Hour PAYE/£21.98 an Hour Umbrella
 
I am looking to speak with candidates that are available immediately who have a good understanding of safety with a hands-on approach and willingness to learn.
 
Day to day Responsibilities
·Ensure positive identification of hazards via Point of Work Safety Assessment (POWSA)
·Solve routine operational problems using efficient improvement techniques.
·Undertake the Health Physics monitoring duties, monitoring plant and equipment, as required within his/her own level of demonstrated competence
·Daily reporting and quality feedback to team leader to support the progress of work.
·The post holder may be required to carry out further identified roles as necessary (e.g., operate cranes, drive forklifts trucks, perform rigging)
 
Minimum Requirements
·Willingness to Learn
·Hands on Experience
·Good Understanding of safety
·Previous Nuclear/hazardous waste experience (DESIRABLE NOT REQUIRED)
·A background in waste (DESIRABLE NOT REQUIRED)
