Job Title: Trainee Quantity Surveyor
Salary £25,000-£30,000
Open to University or Equivalent apprenticeship candidates.

Job Summary:
As a Trainee Quantity Surveyor, you will embark on an exciting journey to learn and contribute to the field of quantity surveying within the construction industry. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience, coupled with mentorship and structured training, to develop the skills necessary for a successful career in quantity surveying.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
Collaborate with experienced team members to assist in various quantity surveying tasks, gaining exposure to project management, cost estimation, and financial control.
 
Contribute to the preparation of accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects, considering materials, labor, and other relevant factors.
 
Assist in the management of project budgets, monitoring expenditures, and identifying cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards.
 
Learn to administer construction contracts, including the preparation of contract documents, variations, and valuations.
 
Support the procurement process by assisting in the preparation of tender documents, evaluating bids, and liaising with suppliers and subcontractors.
 
Conduct data analysis related to project costs, providing valuable insights to inform decision-making.
 
Maintain accurate and organised documentation related to quantity surveying activities, ensuring compliance with company and industry standards.
 
Develop effective communication skills to liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders, contributing to positive working relationships.
 
Qualifications and Requirements:
 
A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Enthusiastic about learning and developing a career in quantity surveying.
