our client focus on the design, build and maintenance of telecom poles for key clients in the fixed telecom market. Working collaboratively with clients, they bring commitment, innovation, teamwork, and accountability to deliver long-term partnerships. We are currently looking for Trainee / experienced engineers to join our team in Port Talbot.
 
As a trainee you will be completing a 1-month awareness field-based taster programme. On successful completion of the taster programme full training will be delivered at our national training centre DTN academy.
 
Responsibilities once trained:
·Installation and removal of poles, including the dressing of new poles
·Safe excavation works use of CAT and Genny
·Replacing/renewing existing drop-wires
·Operate MEWP and work at heights on telegraph poles (recognised qualification)
·Replacing/renewing block and tails
·Undertaking works in accordance with Health and Safety legislation, company and client Health and Safety standards
Requirements:
·Full Cat C driving licence max 6 points (Desirable)
·Experience in manual work (construction, warehouse / factory etc) (Desirable)
·Flexible and have the availability to work away from home if required
·Good communication skills, with internal and external clients and representatives
·Physically fit
·Strong work ethic
