Job description

Due to unprecedented growth throughout 2020, our clients, a multi-disciplinary award winning consultancy are looking to add a Traffic Engineer to the business in the Slough offices.
 
Duties include:
 
·To support senior staff, providing technical support for a wide range of project types and consultancy commissions
·Design and option development primarily for walking, cycling and public transport improvements
·Arrange for the collection of relevant pedestrian, cycling and traffic surveys such as volume, speed, collisions, turning counts, loading activity, desire lines
·Analyse data and present it in an easy to comprehend way, such as in maps, graphs, tables and reports
·Production of relevant general arrangement design drawings and reports
·Ensure all project files are up to date and comply with the QA system
·Respond to client and customer enquiries taking messages, when necessary and ensuring that their needs are met
 
Our ideal candidate will have but not limited to:
 
·Relevant  Degree or HND/HNC (preferably in engineering) or equivalent qualifications
·Membership of a professional institution (e.g. MILT, MICE or MCIHT) or aiming towards
·Consideration given to significant relevant experience in lieu of specified education and professional qualification.
·A minimum of 2 year's relevant experience
·Sound understanding of highways and traffic engineering techniques and principles and a track record in transport planning, design and/or delivery
·Expertise in highways related AutoCAD design highly desirable
·Familiarity with TMA 2004
