Job Title: Town Planner
Location: London, UK
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum (depending on experience)
 
Are you a skilled Town Planner seeking a new opportunity in the vibrant city of London? We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Town Planner, where you will play a crucial role in providing expert planning advice and strategy development.
 
Responsibilities:
Providing Planning Advice and Strategy Development: Offer insightful planning advice to clients and stakeholders, and devise effective strategies to achieve their objectives within the regulatory framework.
Monitoring Architecture Team: Oversee the architecture team as they translate planning advice into tangible plans, ensuring alignment with client requirements and regulatory standards.
Reviewing and Confirming Plans: Conduct thorough reviews of proposed plans and strategies, and collaborate closely with clients to confirm their alignment with project goals.
Preparing Reports: Generate comprehensive reports, including Development & Appraisal (D&A) reports and other documentation, to support planning submissions and decision-making processes.
Submitting Plans and Obtaining Approval: Manage the submission process for plans and applications, liaising with relevant authorities to secure necessary approvals in a timely manner.
Advising on Rejected Plans: In the event of plan rejection, provide expert guidance to clients on potential next steps and alternative approaches to achieve project objectives.
 
Requirements:
·Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, or a related field.
·Proven experience in town planning or urban development, with a strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and planning policies.
·Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders.
·Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
·Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
·Proficiency in relevant software and tools, such as GIS, AutoCAD, or planning software, is desirable.
