Job description
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Independent Living Manager to lead the strategic and operational delivery of our 24/7 Lifeline Service, alongside operational responsibility for Sheltered Housing Schemes and community buildings for older people.
This is a key leadership role focused on delivering high-quality housing support services to vulnerable and elderly residents, ensuring excellent outcomes, safety, and independence. You will oversee the Lifeline Service across council properties and the wider community, ensuring services operate within agreed quality frameworks, policies, and codes of practice.
You will lead, manage, and support a staff team delivering a 24/7 service, providing clear guidance on operational, procedural, policy, and legal matters. Responsibilities include workforce management, performance appraisals, sickness and absence management, and operational decision-making.
The role also involves driving service development and innovation, including the introduction of new technologies, improved business processes, and growth of the Lifeline Service. You will lead marketing and promotional activity, manage budgets, develop KPIs, benchmark performance, oversee external contracts, and ensure procurement compliance.
As part of the Landlord Services Management Team, you will contribute to service integration and continuous improvement across housing services.
Requirements:
·Proven people management experience (essential)
·Experience of telecare services and sheltered housing (desirable)
·Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
