Role: Technical Sales Representative
Location: Southampton/Hybrid
Salary: Up to £45,000 p/a depending on experience.
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
 
 
Are you a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Representative looking for your next challenge in an exciting technical role? My client, a start-up company specialising in the design & manufacture of chemical sensor products, is looking for a target-driven Sales Representative to join their growing team.
 
 
Your role will involve:
·Finding, developing, closing and administering sales opportunities, using all available outreach and communication methods.
·Maintaining & supporting existing customer accounts.
·Promoting & supporting sales activities in existing and new/emerging markets.
·Conduct product demonstrations and live training sessions with prospective customers.
·Participating in conferences and exhibitions to present company products & services.
·Developing customer proposals in liaison with commercial & technical teams.
·Producing quotations.
·Proactively driving sales conversion.
·Gathering & communicating market requirements to inform company development efforts and providing feedback on market price tolerances, product performance & future market requirements impacting engineering design, and competitor activities
·Assisting in producing marketing & promotional material including flyers and case studies.
·Enhancing the reputation and profile of company through promotional brand development activities.
 
 
Required Skills:
·Experience as a Sales Representative in a technical environment.
·Experience of developing and managing sales funnels including finding, negotiating and closing sales opportunities.
·Demonstrated customer focus coupled with strong business & commercial acumen
·Highly motivated with drive for self-improvement.
·Highly organised with focus on delivery against targets.
·Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills - technically & personally credible communicator and networker.
·Experience in the environmental and water quality industry or demonstrated exceptional sales ability in relatable sector.
·Experience in selling sensors or other high-tech instrumentation would be ideal.
·Experience in a start-up company would be ideal.
