We are delighted to announce an exciting new opportunity with a South Coast based client who are looking for a Technical Gas Support Engineer to join their growing team. The company provide coverage across the South of England up towards London and have a number of opportunities due to significant yearly growth and a high volume of work.

An opportunity has arisen for Technical Gas Support Engineer to work with and assist our administration team. If you take pride in solving problems and reacting quickly with a solution, then we need your expertise! This will be a role where you support engineers in the field with problem solving and technical queries and resolving any issues that may arise.

This is primarily an office-based role in the companies Portsmouth office although you will be required from time to time to conduct site visits.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assist with technical questions relating appointment scheduling and timescales  
  • Review photos of installations to survey for replacement boilers
  • Source and order spare parts and materials for new installations
  • You must have a strong technical knowledge of heating systems including wiring
  • Troubleshoot Customer Faults and provide remote support to them
  • Conduct video calls to survey and quote for new installations
  • Conduct Technical Monitoring and quality control via both photo and on site.

Previous or current qualifications in Gas Installation, Servicing and Repairs would be preferred. However, you must have a good ongoing knowledge of heating installation and boiler repairs, including knowing the spare parts by name.

You will provide an excellent level of customer service whilst be proactive in your approach. You will be happy to speak to customers to assist and help them. Previous experience in customer service and sales would be a distinct advantage.

You must be computer literate with an excellent understanding of Word, Excel, and Outlook.
