Role: Team Leader -  Drainage
Location: Manchester Irlam
Salary: £27,000 + overtime
Working week: Monday to Friday 40 hours per week and overtime paid at X1.25 on weekdays & X1.5 for weekends
Essential Criteria: Waste Water network or drainage sector experience
 
My client has a vacancy for a Team Leader ( Drainage )  to join their expanding operations attached to water sector projects that are drainage-focused, e.g. drainage surveys or flow monitoring and CCTV.
 
The Team Leader ( Drainage )will possess proven experience in the waste water network, sewer or drainage sectors.  Successful candidates will be a part of a 2 or 3-man team carrying out installation, calibration, and maintenance of Flow and Water Quality equipment throughout the UK.  As a result prior experience of managing or working with as 2nd man, junior or team would be highly advantageous. The installation and maintenance work will require you to enter and work in confined spaces within the waste-water networks, therefore you will need to be physically fit.
 
 
Skills set we require for this position:
 
·Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to complete paperwork accurately and annotate plans
·Excellent problem-solving and accurate record-keeping capabilities
·Demonstrable track record of reliability and flexibility
·Full UK driving licence
·Flow experience is an advantage NOT essential
 
 
This role will involve:
 
·Literate, numerate, and organized along with possessing a good work ethic and meticulous attention to detail
·Ability to work away from home for up to 3 to 4 nights a week.
·Be able to work flexible shift times and adapt to changing work schedules.
·Ideally have relevant field service experience, however, full training will be given to
·candidates who bring practical skills and a good attitude.
 
 
The bulk of the work will be local and attached to Yorkshire Water and United Utilities.  On occasion, there will be the requirement to undertake stay-away work.
