Job Title: Sub-Agent - Clean Water
Location: Bournheath
Rate: £350 - £400 per day (LTD/Umbrella CIS)
Duration: 18 months
Hours: 45 hours per week
Are you a skilled Sub-Agent ready to take on a critical role in clean water infrastructure? If you're experienced in site engineering and passionate about delivering high-quality water infrastructure, we have an exciting opportunity for you!
About the Role
As a Sub-Agent on this significant project, you'll be an integral part of the site team, bridging the gap between the principal designer and on-site teams. This project involves constructing a large reinforced concrete Distribution Service Reservoir (DSR) (approx. 7m deep) to replace an existing structure. Your work will support key areas such as valve and pipework installation, service diversions, access tracks, drainage, and MEICA commissioning/decommissioning activities.
Key Responsibilities
·Site Operations: Conduct CAT scanning, issue permits to dig, and handle site inductions and briefings.
·Engineering & Planning: Prepare material take-offs, requisitions, and manage CAD drawings; produce two-week lookahead programs.
·Quality Control: Oversee subcontractor RAMS, maintain daily diaries, monitor H&S, and ensure all ITPs and QA documents are accurately compiled for the H&S file.
·Coordination & Communication: Act as the liaison between site engineers, foremen, and subcontractors, ensuring smooth project flow and clear communication.
·General Site Management: Manage deliveries, complete goods returns, and handle all necessary site paperwork.
What We're Looking For
We need a proactive individual with hands-on experience in clean water projects, ready to take ownership of site engineering activities and drive project success. Ideal candidates will have:
·Qualifications: CSCS card, CAT scanning certification, SSSTS or SMSTS.
·Desirable Skills: Temporary Works Supervisor (or TWC) training, Confined Space certification (medium & high risk), and familiarity with M&E systems.
·Experience: Background in clean water projects is preferred; some M&E experience is beneficial but not essential.
