Job description

Our client are a large Civil Contractor in the water industry. They work with several water companies across the UK including Anglian Water, Thames Water & Southern Water amongst others. They have a great reputation with their clients and work across the clean and waste water markets.
 
They are currently looking for aSub Agent, to work on several Waste Water sites they are looking after. This role would be managing the staff on the sites of several sewer system repairs. Managing the trade working on the contracts in line with H&S, Production, Quality. Supporting the Project Managers.
 
The role is on a rolling contract basis and will fall outside of IR35. This position is for a contractor but they are open to someone going temp to perm if that is of interest. The role locations will be across London, the South East and occasionally further East.
 
Responsibilities:
 
·To ensure all works are planned our and labour, plan and materials are ready
·Monitor and manage labour plant & materials
·Instruct Sub COntractors on the work they need to deliver, ensure they are trained to do the work and work with the direct staff
·Deliver briefings & toolbox talks; at the start of shifts and during the project
·Deliver method statements and risk assessments
·build a workforce capable to deliver the project requirements
·Ensure works have been undertaken with good quality and as detailed in the method statement
·Ensure permits are received and completed
·Assist with working method and outputs for production of method statements and programme
· Ensure hazardous materials are stored, handled, used and disposed of in accordance with the COSHH assessment
·Deliver safety inspections, act on findings and report to management team
·Keep a full and accurate daily site diary, including any changes / variations, subcontractors' attendance, and records of work-related discussions with client.
 
Requirements:
 
·SMSTS or SSSTS
·EUSR Water Hygiene
·Good IT skills inc. MS Office & drawing reviews
·Experience in utilities
·Experience in Water / Waste Water projects - Deep drainage desirable
·Experience with Shafts & headings
·Temporary Works Supervisor - Desirable
·NRSWA -
·Good QHSE experience
·Ability to collaborate & communicate with other teams
·Good knowledge of HSG47
