Streetworks Inspector
 
Salary: £35,000
 
We are seeking an individual to fulfill the role of Street works Inspector on behalf of the Local Authority. This position involves inspecting work sites conducted by Work Promoters and the Highways Team within the council's jurisdiction. The main responsibilities include reporting on defective assets, equipment, and reinstatements, as well as monitoring sites during the guarantee period. Adherence to the standard 'Codes of Practice' is essential. A comprehensive understanding of the Highway Authority's network, activities, and events is required to minimize disruptions and respond to emergencies. The role also involves using desktops/laptops and mobile devices for data capture and daily reporting. It is mandatory for the candidate to drive around the Highways Authority's network.
 
Key Responsibilities-
 
Collaborate with the current project team and advisors to quickly grasp the existing customer account, project requirements, standardized delivery processes and procedures of the company, and relevant industry regulations. Familiarize oneself with the customer's implemented IT systems for performing job-related tasks. Acquire knowledge of Data Management processes, such as data capture, analysis, and reporting, with a focus on performance parameters for oneself and the overall contract. Support the preparation of data packs, presentations, and performance reports. Identify areas of improvement and process gaps to streamline operational activities, enhance data quality through process automation. Stay updated on legislation affecting the industry.
 
Professional Experience:
Minimum of three years of experience in Streetworks Inspections, either independently or under supervision. Familiarity with relevant systems used in Streetworks Inspections.
Essential Skills:
 
·Possession of Street works qualification such as SWQR registration
·CSCS Card.
·Experience in carrying out Street works Inspections with the goal of ensuring the safety of the Local Authority's network assets and minimizing disruptions for road users.
·Hold a valid UK driver's license with no previous offenses.
·Understanding of IT Systems used for managing Streetworks Inspections and related back-office operations, including data processing and performance reporting.
·Proficiency in using MS Office applications. Strong written and oral communication skills in English, including report writing and creating PowerPoint presentations.
 
Additional Requirements:
 
Work at the customer's location in the South-West of England. Willingness to travel to other customer locations across the UK.
