Job description

Our client is a leading Telecoms Network Provider building their own network in the West. They are providing full fibre networks to communities in the West of England and into Wales to improve the UK's infrastructure and broadband speeds. We are currently looking for a StreetworksAdministrator to work either from their Worcester office or via home working. You will be a part of the Streetworks team, ensuring the connection with the local authorities is high and work can be done in the highways.
 
This is working for a lovely team, they have a good reputation and good bonds with local authorities. The role is contracting to a rate of £23,000 per annum.
 
As a Streetworks Administrator, you will be engaging with local authorities and applying for permits. Ensuring they are opening and closing the permits. You will be using programmes such as Street Manager and Symology. You will be part of a team responsible for ensuring the Traffic Management Act (TMA) is kept to. You will build relationships with the local authorities and keep in touch to ensure the organisation is doing what is required of the authorities.
 
Requirements:
·Create and book traffic management permits
·Follow up on permits to ensure approval
·Deal with any permit queries from the Highways authorities
·Have knowledge or Streetworks & the effects i.e. permitting guidelines and consequences of working outside of permits
·Resolve any issues from FFN's received for completed works
·Update both systems accurately (Prior knowledge of Symology & Street Manager would be highly advantageous)
·Prior experience of submitting notices & permits is required
·Must be able to handle several tasks at once & be able to work in a fast paced environment
·Ideally have experience with speaking to local authorities and good telephone manner
·Good MS Office skills
·Good written and verbal skills
·Must have knowledge of Traffic Management
·Having knowledge of Jeopardy Management regarding overun charges (S74) would be advantageous
·Provide your allocated teams with project costs
·Willingness to learn all aspects of permitting rules with the councils we work with
