Street Lighting Electrician
 
I am currently recruiting for a Street Lighting Electrician to join a busy client in the South West. The purpose of the role is to install, service, maintain and test all attributes of the Boroughs street lighting assets. The role is a temporary contract position offering an immediate start and an initial 6-month contract.
 
 
The main duties of the Street Lighting Electrician will be:
·To install, service, repair, maintain and install all types of street lighting equipment.
·To carry out the following detailed works:
1.3 phase and single phase supplies across the borough's buildings & properties.
2.High level steel & PVC conduit in the borough's buildings & properties.
3.Kopex installations in the borough's buildings & properties.
4.Rectify faults to the borough's Housing/buildings switch rooms.
5.High level roofing/guttering repairs to the borough's housing & buildings.
6.CCTV installations to the borough's housing, buildings & properties.
7.High level lighting repairs to the borough's housing, building, properties & car parks.
8.High level graffiti cleaning for the borough's Street Cleaning Services.
 
 
You must have:
·City & Guilds 2365 or 2357 or equivalent recognised qualification in electrical installation or electrical technology.
·NVQ level 3 in electrical installation or electrical technology.
·AM2 trade test or equivalent within the electrical industry.
·BS7671:2008 17/18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations.
·NRSWA Qualification.
 
 
The ideal candidate will have:
·G39/1 Working in the Vicinity of DNO & IDNO Equipment (preferred).
·CPC Professional drivers' card (preferred).
·IPAF & PASMA (preferred).
