What we need
Our client, a local authority based in the Southeast, is looking for a skilled Stats Coordinator to lead and provide support by coordinating and managing information between different statutory undertakers on our highway projects from inception to delivery.

Applicants will be capable of establishing and maintaining key relationships with Statutory Undertakers and will provide effective utility management, focusing on best value.

What you will do
·Provide support to the design and delivery of civil engineering schemes by coordinating and managing information between different statutory undertakers.
·Establish and maintain key relationships with statutory undertakers.
·Act as the primary contact for all statutory undertaker works during the coordination process of major schemes.
·Conforming with corporate and departmental equalities and health and safety procedures and applying them to day-to-day job requirements.
·Liaising with senior professionals in private and public sectors.

Core duties
·Provide effective utility management, overcoming complex challenges, focussing on best value for the Council and the least impact on the network.
·Reporting and escalating progress and issues to the project leads.
·Set up regular and clear lines of communication to address issues that may arise.
·Take any appropriate action to ensure the statutory undertakers understand their duty as laid out in legislation (e.g., Traffic Management Act 2004) and carry-out their works to minimise any impact to the network.
·To liaise with statutory undertakers to ensure compliance with the New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA) 1991, Traffic Management Act 2004, and specifications on the highway.  
·To attend site meetings and respond to utility queries to plan and agree traffic management for complex works and programmes of work.
·To supervise the Statutory Undertakers of major schemes to ensure the installation of work is as agreed.
·Coordinating both strategic, planning and programming aspects as well as the day-to-day interface between statutory undertaker's sub-contractor works and the main contractors works.
·Evaluating, managing, and mitigating risks in association with Statutory Undertakers.

What you will need to succeed
·Excellent knowledge of the regulations and legislation which apply to statuary undertaker's work.
·Experience of working within a statutory undertaker environment and dealing directly with statutory undertakers during the design or construction of a scheme,
·Ability in arranging meetings and facilitating discussions to reach a desired outcome. On-site and in the office environment.
·Excellent problem-solving skills.
·Good relationship management skills and an ability to work collaboratively with others.
·Good negotiation skills.
·A customer focused approach to service delivery and programme and project outcomes.
·Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.
·The ability to exercise political awareness and sensitivity.
·Knowledge and experience of the construction industry.
 
Working Conditions 

·Use of display screen equipment and laptop.
·Work environment may involve lone working and the use of Personal Protective Equipment on sites for head, eyes, body, feet and hands (hard hat, reflective clothing, safety boots, gloves, ear defenders and safety glasses).
·Driving pool vehicles and/or own vehicle for work purposes.
