Job description

Our client are a large Infrastructure company, supporting the build and maintenance in several key areas of the UK's key infrastructure projects. This includes projects in Construction, Rail, Utilities and Highways. We are working with their Utilities Division, which specialises in the Gas, Telecoms, Power and Water markets. They are a leading partner to several companies providing Utilities to homes and businesses across the country.
 
As part of our clients growing business, they have a new project, working in the Power Sector for a Site Manager. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Site Manager, who has working on large Power Projects on behalf of a DNO. Working in a group dynamic, this opportunity allows you to be part of a multimillion pound setting. Working on several site projects.
 
The opportunity is based in Crawley, working on a contract basis with the ideal situation being a chance to move to a permanent role following that. You will be managing several teams with the Supervisors reporting into you.
 
The role:
·Support the Project Manager, taking responsibility for everything on site.
·Ensure High Health & Safety standards and an effective delivery process.
·Ensure all work is in like with PICoS and client safety protocols.
·Ensure Site Risk Assessments are carried out.
·Understand and implement Ofgem regulations.
·Manage a mix of teams assigned to the project.
·Manage issues, complications and check for future safety issues to overcome them.
·Add value to the project and make it your own.
·Ensure equipment is inspects.
·Produce works packs and information.
·Ensure RAMS and permits are in place and reviewed.
 
You will earn £300 per day PAYE plus have access to a vehicle and fuel card.
 
Requirements:
·NEC3 knowledge
·Previous experience in a similar environment
·Good Leadership skills
·Hold your EUSR & CSCS cards
·SMSTS
·Construction experience (Ideally in the Power sector)
·P6 planning understanding
·An Understating of the commercial requirements of a utilities project
·An understanding of the operational requirements of a utilities project
·First Aid
·Full UK Driving License
·Excellent communication skills
·Good MS Office skills
·Ability to engage with the client and stakeholders
·UK Substation entry holder (Desirable)
·UKPN Authorised person (Desirable)
·NRSWA - Streetworks (Desirable)
·NEBOSH or IOSH (Desirable)
