Job Title: Site Engineer - Highways & Civils
Location: Surrey, UK
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum
My client, a leading Tier 1 civil engineering contractor, is seeking a skilled Site Engineer to join their team on an exciting highways and civils project in Surrey. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to play a key part in delivering high-quality infrastructure projects while gaining valuable experience with a top-tier contractor.
Responsibilities:
·Setting Out: Accurately set out the works according to project drawings and specifications.
·Quality Control: Ensure that work on site meets design specifications and adheres to quality standards.
·Technical Support: Provide engineering guidance to the site team and address any technical challenges that arise.
·Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a safety-first culture on site.
·Coordination: Liaise with other engineers, subcontractors, and site operatives to maintain a smooth workflow.
·Reporting: Record and report site activities, keeping accurate records of measurements, materials, and site progress.
Requirements:
·Proven experience as a Site Engineer, ideally within highways, civils, or infrastructure projects.
·Proficiency in using setting-out equipment and reading technical drawings.
·CSCS Card and relevant industry qualifications (e.g., SMSTS, First Aid).
·Strong understanding of construction processes and a commitment to high-quality standards.
·Excellent communication and organizational skills.
