Job description

Freelance Site Engineer required for a range of highways improvement schemes in the Swindon area.

Initially the works will be for the next 4 months, with potential for extension and further works with this Tier 1 contractor.

As Site Engineer you will hold experience and a proven track record in highways improvement schemes/projects elsewhere.

You will also hold a degree within Civil Engineering.

Main Responsibilities will include:

·Analysing job risks and ensuring the safety of people and the protection of the environment concerned by the activities: compliance with legislation, regulations, internal rules and procedures in the fields of Health, Safety and the Environment.
·Guarantee the execution of the job and organsing it by making the necessary resources available for its execution (human and hardware requirements), transmitting the useful information and documents to the Site Foremen. Responsible for all aspects of the project lifecycle; planning, scope definition, design, execution, and delivery.
·Monitoring the financial and contractual management: establishing and monitoring the budget, ensuring the relationship with the customer, manages subcontractors/suppliers, invoicing and monitoring of customer overdraft, identifies and manages risks and opportunities, etc.
·Controlling the job's performance and implementing corrective measures if necessary: presenting the site foreman with performance objectives, monitoring the associated indicators and reporting to his/her line management.  
·Providing added value in the optimisation of operations: demonstrating creativity in the search for innovative solutions (variants, reduction of deadlines, etc.).
